Project Overview
As part of my ongoing freelance work with DZone, I was asked to design a series of house ads promoting an upcoming audience survey.
With limited imagery available — and no desire to default to generic stock photography — I leaned into a more conceptual approach. I created a simple speech-bubble graphic to frame the headline and reinforce the call to action: “Make sure your voice is heard.” The visual metaphor gave the campaign a clear focal point while keeping the execution clean and scalable across banner sizes.
To help the ads stand out, I incorporated brighter accent colors and layered geometric shapes — continuing the visual refinements I was introducing to the DZone brand system. Even within small display units, I aimed to bring energy and clarity without overwhelming the message.
Though modest in scope, this project was another opportunity to apply strategic thinking within tight constraints — reinforcing brand evolution while delivering concise, effective creative.
