DZone Advertising Media Kit

Advertising
Project Overview
As a freelance designer for DZone, I supported a broad range of creative needs — from presentation decks and whitepapers to webinar campaigns and brand refinement.

One of the larger initiatives was designing an advertising subdomain to function as a digital media kit. The goal was to create a centralized, shareable site that Sales could confidently send to prospective advertisers. It needed to clearly communicate DZone’s audience reach, editorial focus, and available ad products — while positioning the brand as modern and credible.
Deliverables
I structured the site to balance storytelling with utility: a pitch DZone, high-level audience insights, and product overviews. When DZone expressed interest in launching a blog, I also mocked up post templates to future-proof the system.

This project became another opportunity to evolve DZone’s visual identity. With room to modernize their existing (very corporate) branding, I introduced more dynamic shapes, layered layouts, and brighter gradient accents to create a more engaging and contemporary feel.

To ensure a smooth handoff, I collaborated directly with the front-end developer, organizing and naming assets clearly and designing with implementation in mind. The result was a streamlined transition from concept to build, minimizing back-and-forth and maintaining design integrity through launch.
